Recycled materials – baubles, cotton throws, plastic bottle throws, recycled glass wineglass, bird feeder and clocks. One of the best ways to be more eco-friendly is to recycled materials. And there are some amazing ways things can be recycled. With new methods being brought into the production, more and more things are being remade and re-loved. Here are a few of our favourite things made from recycled materials.

Recycled Plant Pot Bird feeder

This gorgeous bird feeder has been made in Cornwall from recycled plastic plant pots. Though plant pots are not consistently recycled in the UK, there is a family run factory in Cornwall who can reuse this dark plastic to create these lovely bird feeders and the herb markers we sell.

The Cornish family firm also recycled other materials such as card and paper and even coffee cups. We sell a few of their other products including a clock made from and suitable for both in and outside.

Recycled Glass Baubles

Recycled glass baubles. A lovely selection of baubles made from recycled glass and sari material. Each of these baubles is made

Drinking glasses made from recycled glass. Handblown in India, in ethical environments where the makers are paid fair wages. We have a few different drinking glasses made from recycled glass, including wine and champagne glasses.

Reusing plastic bottles.

Surprisingly soft, these eco throws have been made, fair trade from plastic bottles. The fact they are made from 100% recycled bottled, means not only are they stopping the bottles used being left to waste, they are also usable inside and outside. And Machine washable.

Reusing cotton

The production of cotton can be very hard on the environment, which is why reusing cotton is important. These beautiful ethical, recycled cotton throws have been hand-loomed in India. Made fair trade by a group who are part of GoodWeave licensed suppliers from suppliers who are working towards GoodWeave accreditation. This pioneering charity that seeks to end child labour in rug weaving and to help educate and develop rug weaving communities.

I am looking forward to more innovations that allow more things to be reused and recycled. Bt in the meantime, the above are a few of my favourite. Do you have a favourite. We are also on the lovely Sincerely Essie’s Gift Guide – which you can find here.
