Summer Holidays | Things To Do
A few ideas of what to do in the Summer Holidays …
Feeling crafty?
Creativity and making is the perfect way to learn new skills and have fun during the summer days, especially on rainy days (we will probably have some!). Painting, photography, embroidery; there are many ways to express your creativity. You can download embroidery patterns for example lovely ones by Ovobloom and you can to find some sewing materials visit Sewing Online
Coastal Holidays
If you aren’t heading further afield this year, there are some beautiful places to visit in the UK. Spending the day at the coast can be fun and relaxing (depending where you go – and who you go with). Some beaches named best in the UK 2018 by the Independent include Fistral Beach in Cornwall and Bournemouth Beach in Dorset. Find beautiful places to stay in Dorset and discover the Jurassic coast at Dorset Coastal Cottages.
Bake / Cook
Some of my favourite memories from Summer Holidays growing up was baking with my Mum and Grandmother. We will be sharing a few recipes this summer, perfect for baking with your family (or by yourself). You can find sustainable, ethical bakeware from us. For example gorgeous, traditional sieves, perfect for dusting on icing sugar.
Vegan ingredients are available at a range of shops you can visit and recipes you can find. For online shopping try Green Bay or Natures Health Box
Gardening
Summer is also the perfect time to get in the garden, either as a peaceful time for yourself or with your children. Though most seeds prefer being set in Spring there are late plants available, check out RHS to find flowers perfect for planting late summer, early autumn.
Find a range of ethical, chemical gardening equipment at Gardening Naturally.
We would love to hear more from you, about the swaps you have made or if you have any questions.
