Syjunta
If you are wanting something new, social and creative to do when the nights start drawing in, we may have found the perfect thing for you. Syjunta. Syjunta is a Swedish concept. It is the name given to a gathering of people who meet to craft and enjoy a seasonal home-cooked supper.
Syjunta is the inspiration behind Louise Gorrod and Cara Oliver’s late autumn gathering. All profits from the evening will be donated to BHT to support Archway, a local project for people with severe and complex mental health problems.
The evening starts with a cocktail (which is how all good evenings should start). You will then be shown how to create a beautiful yarn wrapped floral wreath. And enjoy a two course vegetarian meal. Dill, carrot and chickpea curry with beetroot raita will be followed by a delicious chocolate olive oil cake with pickled seasonal berries. Enjoy all of this while meeting some lovely creatives and foodies.
The Late Autumn Syjunta, with Louise and Cara, is on the 14th November from 7pm – 10. Tickets are £45.00 each. And this includes the cocktail, two course meal and all of the crafting materials. Studio 50, 50 Brunswick Street West, Hove, BN3 1EL – to book tickets or for more information email [email protected].
