How are you going to holiday this year? January is when we like to start thinking about how to holiday.
UK holidays are increasing in popularity and they can be equally as relaxing, intrepid or fun-filled as travelling abroad. Here are a few ideas for different and unique breaks in the UK in 2018.
Hideaways
Whether on your own, or as a romantic getaway. If you want peace and quiet, there are some gorgeous, out of the way places to discover in the UK. Companies such as Sheepskin Cottages have wonderful range of cottages suitable for getting away from it all. Places to find peace and just be.
‘At Sheepskin Cottages we look after 36 of the finest self-catering properties across the UK and Ireland, ensuring your break will be memorable and truly relaxing.’
Camping or Clamping?
Camping can be one of the best ways to feel at one with nature.
If camping seems like to much work for a holiday, try glamping. You get the glories of nature, without having to pee in a bush or spending the last morning trying to sit on your tent to get it back in the bag (speaking from experience – pop up tents do not ‘pop’ down).
Companies like Sugar and Loaf are perfect places to start finding ‘glamorous camping’ experiences. With a stunning range of shepherds hut and yurts. You can spend your days with nature and come in at night to comfort…
Or if that isn’t exciting enough for you, how about a tent in a tree. Floating in the trees in Wales, this space is perfect if you want to get away from it all. This unique way of holidaying is a wonderful way to feel connected with nature.
Small Person Friendly
Sometimes when you have children to share your holiday with, sleeping in a tent in the trees isn’t always an option. But there are plenty of unique and exciting, family friendly places to stay. Whether you decide to go on a eco-friendly holiday, Glamping in the hills of Wales; a seaside break, relaxing with your toes in the sand; Or rent a cosy place to stay in a town or city. There is a wonderful choice available across the UK. Beach holidays have always been a firm family favourite. Exploring rock pools, eating ice-cream and building sandcastles. Plenty for the little ones to do that isn’t of the ordinary and everyday. Northumberland has always been a family favourite. And with cottages across the area North Cumbria Coast and Country Cottages Ltd is a great place to find a base while exploring this stunning coastline.
Dog Friendly
No Dogs Allowed used to be a common phrase on holiday cottage websites. But as the British love of dogs refuses to go away, more and more dog friendly cottages are available. Part of the joy of a British holiday is bringing your pet. To take some of the trouble out of finding a dog friendly holiday destination, use companies like Canine Cottages.
