Tagua Nut Penguin Necklace – Fair Trade.
Penguin necklace. Skilfully hand carved from a tagua nut*. A gorgeous and unique addition to the winter wardrobe. Lovely over a jumper or a dress. Additionally makes a wonderful Christmas or birthday gift. Each necklace comes in a back gift box. Also, money from the sale of each necklace goes to WWF charity, and helps support fair-trade makers in South America.
A nut is carefully selected then carved into shape using a variety of sanding processes and polished to achieve a smooth surface. Each piece of ethical jewellery is made by Ronald and his friends in Sosote, Ecuador.
*Tagua is a nut from a type of palm that grows in the South American jungle. Often called as vegetable ivory, it is a sustainable and environmentally sound alternative to animal ivory.
Arrives in a WWF black gift box and wrapped in tissue.
