Description
Stunning White Earthenware Teapot – Sue Pryke
Individually made Teapot, made from vitrified earthenware. The clay is fired to a high temperature until it’s no longer porous, giving it a stone like quality. The lid is the same colour as the body, with an oak handle. The teapot handle is made from steam bent oak, all made by hand by John at Wild + Wood.
Part of a new range developed in conjunction with Wild + Wood, the Mr & Mrs Studio Collection combines the talents from John at Wild + Wood with his wife Sue Pryke.
The elegant teapot balances the naturals of wood and ceramic giving a pared back simple aesthetic. Perfect with our Sue Pryke tea bowl and tea strainer.
Made from vitrified earthenware and polished to give a smooth pebbly finish. The clay is fired to a high temperature until it no longer porous. As a result a stone like quality is given to the piece.
Each piece is individually made so there will be slight differences and colour variations in each piece. This indicative of the material and the hand made processes.
