Cheetah Tagua Necklace – Fair Trade
A beautiful cheetah pendant on a long chain. Beautiful as a gift or to add to your own outfit.
Designed in collaboration with award winning author and illustrator Coralie Bickford-Smith. And handmade fair trade in South America.
The cheetah pendant is skillfully hand carved from a tagua nut*. A nut is selected that is as close to the desired finished shape as possible, which is then formed using a variety of sanding processes and polished to achieve a smooth surface. Ethical jewellery, handmade in Cerro Grande, Ecuador.
*Tagua is a nut from a type of palm that grows in the South American jungle. A sustainable and environmentally sound alternative to animal ivory.
Arrive wrapped in eco-friendly, ethically sourced tissue paper. (Our tissue is made using recycled materials. During manufacture 35% of electricity used is from renewable sources, using hydroelectric power. )
