Inspiration for a coastal interior can come from a variety of places and resources. Magazines such as Coast Magazine , a trip to the coast, or something you have seen on social media. We have come up with a few ways to add a coastal feel to your home:
One of the most effective ways to add a coastal feel to a room is to pick a paint colour which mimics seaside colours. Pastel hues are a beautiful way to make a room feel fresh and seasidey.
Or use pale blues against sandy tones, or use darker blues against white for a more sailor inspired interior.
The Organic Natural Paint Co*, this wonderful company produces a stunning range of paints, in colours perfect for the home inside and out. What sets this company apart is that their paints are natural and this paint company even have a Vegan range.
If you are renting or on a budget the best way to make a room more beachy is to add little seaside accessories. Add driftwood or seashells you have found on a family holiday to a shelf or table. Or buy beach inspired accessories, such as our sea inspired vases by Lynn Fox.
A popular look (who doesn’t want to be reminded of the peace of the sand and sea) there are some gorgeous pieces of furniture which can add a coastal feels to a room. Light wood and driftwood can look beautiful in a pastel interior. Whilst white furniture looks great in a more sailor inspired room.
